This product is suitable for use on pets with existing tear stains or those prone to tear stains. The porphyrin present in pet tears is the source of tear stain coloration: when a pet's tear ducts become blocked, the interaction between tears and porphyrin can lead to tear stain formation; while abnormal liver or gallbladder function may affect porphyrin metabolism, thereby contributing to tear stain issues.
