The porphyrin contained in pet tears is the source of tear stain color. When pet tear ducts are blocked, the interaction between tears and porphyrin produces tear stains. Impairment of liver and gallbladder function can affect the metabolism of porphyrins. This product is suitable for pets with tear marks and those that are prone to tear marks.
